Managing your Monitoring Rules
Tailor your monitoring requirements with Rules Management
What is Rules Management?
Monitoring rules determine which patients are flagged for review in Abtrace. Rules Management, found within our User Management Portal, lets Administrators control which rules are active at your practice, giving you the flexibility to reflect your clinical priorities.
Administrators can:
-
View all available monitoring rules including QOF, CQC and more
-
Explore rules by defined categories such as condition, medication and vaccination
-
Easily switch rules on or off for your entire practice
Note: Only Administrators can make changes to rules. Find out how to manage user permissions here.
Key Benefits
Rules Management gives your team full control over monitoring at your practice:
-
Greater visibility: Instantly view which rules are active at your practice.
-
More control: Activate or deactivate rules based on your needs.
-
Faster changes: Enabling a rule takes just one click.
-
Trial-friendly: Try out new rules, monitor the impact, and switch them off if needed.
What You Need to Know
-
Abtrace default rules will still be available and active by default.
-
Rules apply at the practice-wide level and not per individual patient.
- When you enable or disable a rule, the change takes effect the next time we receive data from your clinical system (SystmOne or EMIS), typically within 24-48 hours
