Error: "Abtrace is blocked from using your Health and Social Care Network"

How to Allow Local Network Access in the User Management Portal?

When you open the User Management Portal, your browser may display a pop-up asking whether the site is allowed to access your local network.

This permission is required for the portal to function correctly.

What happens if access is blocked?

If you accidentally select Block, the portal will be unable to load correctly and you may see an error message similar to the one below.

How to amend site permissions

You can quickly fix this by updating the site permissions in your browser:

  1. Click the lock icon next to the website URL in your browser’s address bar

  2. Locate Local network access in the permissions list

  3. Change the setting to Allowed

  4. Refresh the page

Once local network access is allowed, the User Management Portal should load and function as expected.
