โ๏ธ Associated Monitoring Rules
To use the BMI Questionnaire effectively, the relevant monitoring rules associated with BMI must be enabled. To enable the rule:
- Go to the User Management Portal.
- Navigate using the left-hand panel to Rules Management.
- Search for "BMI".
- โ Enable the rules that will allow you to identify patients whose BMI you'd like to monitor.
๐ How BMI is calculated
The BMI is calculated by dividing an adult's weight in kilograms by their height in metres squared.
For example, if a patient weighs 70kg and is 1.70m, then BMI is calculated by:
-
Squaring height in metres: 1.70 x 1.70 = 2.89
-
Dividing by weight in kilograms: 70 รท 2.89 = 24.22
The calculated BMI will be displayed in one decimal place, for example, 24.2.
