To use the COPD Questionnaire effectively, the relevant monitoring rules associated with COPD must be enabled. To enable the rule:

  1. Go to the User Management Portal.
  2. Navigate using the left-hand panel to Rules Management.
  3. Search for "CAT Score".
  4. βœ… Enable the rule that will allow you to identify patients whose CAT score and MRC Grade you'd like to monitor.

πŸ” How the CAT score is calculated

The chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test (CAT) score is calculated based on the sum of values responded to each of the questions 2 to 9 in the questionnaire. For example,

  • if the patient answers 3 for each of the eight questions, then the CAT score is a total of 24.

  • if the patient answers 5 for each of the eight questions, then the CAT score is a total of 40.
