How can I exclude patients from automated recalls who already have an appointment booked?

We have a double-booking feature in place where you can exclude patients by appointment booked when creating an automated recall.
At the moment EMIS and SystmOne will only allow us to do this by member of staff but we are working on being able to exclude patients with appointment booked by slot type too.
