Can patients be excluded or removed from Automated Recalls?

You can exclude patients from receiving automated messages from Abtrace

IMPORTANT: If you choose to exclude a patient using the method below, they will be excluded from ALL automated recalls excluding this register - both now and in the future.

Steps to Exclude a Patient:

  1. Confirm your decision
Ensure you are certain that you do NOT want the patient to be automatically contacted by Abtrace.

  2. Add the exclusion code
Add the code Recall postponed (finding) – 185556008 to the patient’s record.

  3. Enable the exclusion rule

    • Go to the Rules Management section in the User Management Portal (UMP).
    • Search for β€˜exclude’ in the Register section.
    • Toggle on the exclusion rule you want to activate for your practice.

4. Exclude patients from specific recalls

When building recalls in Population View, use the Exclusions box to exclude patients from specific recalls you create.

NB: Just adding the code to the notes will not automatically exclude these patients, you also need to turn the rule on for your practice in the User Management Portal.
