Using appointment booking links

The appointment booking functionality allows practices to add a booking link to messages sent to patients. Patients can click the link, confirm their date of birth, then book in directly to an appointment time of their choosing. If you there are no appointment slots left when the patient tries to book, they will see one of two messages:
1. A default message explaining that there are no appointments available, and to contact the practice for an appointment

2. An appointment request form. If you have selected the option to add an email address in the User Management Portal, patients will receive a form that allows them to outline their availability. This will be returned to the chosen email address, for your practice to book an appropriate appointment for the patient, according to their availability.
