Before setting up this recall, ensure the relevant rules are enabled in Rules Management (as shown below):

Once the relevant rules are enabled in the User Management Portal, this recall can be set up in Population View, as shown below:
Local and national policies vary as to exactly when children should or should not receive vaccinations. We identify key groups who are likely to be eligible for an invitation based on clinical codes. We suggest practices automatically message these parents/carers to inform them that their child may be eligible, with appropriate instructions.
Please see an example message below that can be sent out to parents/carers. We have had practices use the following wording for these invites:
Our records indicate your child will be due a vaccination in the next few weeks or is overdue. Please contact reception to arrange an appointment or to discuss any preferences or questions you may have around vaccination. More information on the NHS vaccination schedule can be found at https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/nhs-vaccinations-and-when-to-have-them/ This page provides a full list of routine NHS vaccinations and when they should be given.
Please disregard this message if you have already arranged an appropriate appointment.
Following the call with the receptionist, the Patient View can be used to confirm when the childβs next vaccination is due, so that an appointment can be booked with parents or carers at the appropriate time.

Please note: The search for Routine Childhood Immunisations on Patient and Population View highlights childrenβs immunisation status using indicators: red when overdue, orange when due soon, and green when complete.
